Asynchronous counters can be designed to count up or down, we used them in our DOB design. This lesson showed us how to implement it into the circuit.

3.2.3 ASYNCHRONOUS COUNTER
In this assignment we created circuits that implemented the asynchronous counter and made a counter that counted to 1000, a 30 minute timer, and a 99 second counter.

3.3.1 SYNCHRONOUS COUNTER
Synchronous counters differ from asynchronous counters because they dont have a time delay. They serve the same purpose but the synchronous counters are able to go at a faster speed
